The benefits of reading Shudh Gurbani : Bachan of Sri Guru Gobind SIngh Ji

ਸਿਖਹੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸੀਖ ਇਹੁ ਮੇਰੀ, ਬਾਣੀ ਪਢਹੁ ਸੁਧ ਕੇਰੀ। O Sikhs! Listen to my teaching, always read 'Shudh' Gurbani (correct pronunciation).

ਪਢੈ ਮਹਾਤਮ ਲਹੈ ਬਿਸਾਲ, ਹਲਤ ਪਲਤ ਮਹਿ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲ। The benefit of doing so is very great, the person who read Shudh Gurbani shall be elated in this world and the next.

ਜੇ ਅਸੁੱਧ ਹੈ੍ ਪਢੀਐ ਸੁੱਧ ਕਰ, ਬਿਗਰੀ ਵਸਤੁ ਸੁਧਾਰਹਿ ਜਿਮ ਘਰ। If your pronunciation is not correct, then make effort to correct it (by receiving Gurbani Vidhya), in the same way one make effort to mend something that is broken in their home.
